Circular Economy
Applying a circular economy at GLSL involves rethinking how waste is managed to maximize resource efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Here are some key strategies used when handling low risk waste:
Reduce Waste Generation:
Implement processes to minimize waste at the source. We train our service users to think of waste minimization during product selection and when planning for processes for service delivery.
Reuse and Repurpose:
By promoting waste segregation at source, we improve the quality of waste generated and explore ways to reuse materials and products. For example, refurbishing old equipment or repurposing waste materials into new products.
Recycling:
Put in place measures for supporting robust recycling programs to ensure materials are processed and reused. This involves maintaining segregation of recyclable waste and handing it over to vendors dealing in recycling.
Collaboration and Innovation:
We partner with other companies, government agencies, and private organizations to develop innovative solutions and share best practices
Purchasing equipment of better technology to reduce resource consumption
By adopting these strategies, we contribute to a more sustainable and circular economy, reducing environmental footprint and creating new business
