Procurement Officer
About the Role
Green Label Services is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage the end-to-end sourcing and purchasing of goods and services required across our operations. The role requires a professional who can balance cost-efficiency with quality, compliance, and the stringent safety requirements of the hazardous waste management industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with operational budgets and project timelines.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and service providers in compliance with company policy.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate bids, and present recommendations to management.
- Negotiate favourable terms of supply, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Raise and process Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and track delivery against commitments.
- Maintain an up-to-date approved-supplier register and conduct periodic supplier performance reviews.
- Ensure all procured PPE, chemicals, and equipment meet relevant safety and quality standards.
- Work closely with Finance to reconcile purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Support stock management and maintain minimum reorder levels for critical supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Membership with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in an NGO, manufacturing, or regulated services environment.
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
- High ethical standards and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
