GLSL’s infrastructure for medical waste management is strategically located in Iganga District, Eastern Uganda, where our primary facility offers comprehensive waste treatment capabilities. This includes high-temperature incineration for pathological and pharmaceutical waste, a recyclate shredder for certain decontaminated materials, secure storage facilities, a lagoon for tertiary leachate treatment, a polishing bed, and sanitary landfill cells for safe disposal of final residues.
In Mbarara, Western Uganda, we operate a secondary facility equipped with autoclave technology, providing a non-burn, environmentally friendly solution for infectious and sharps waste. Additionally, GLSL owns and operates a fleet of licensed medical waste transportation assets, ensuring secure and compliant collection, transfer, and handling of hazardous healthcare waste across regions.
